Musical influences
Moment of Resistance is a solo recording project of Julian Hine a singer-songwriter based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He produces all his music at his own home based studio. His music consists of his own compositions and covers of favourite blues rock songs. His music is inspired by the North Antrim countryside and his time growing up in rural Berkshire and Oxfordshire in England. He writes about life and experiences of living that life. His song writing and guitar playing has been very much influenced by the blues and rock music.
Songs
Songs by Moment of Resistance can be found on the main streaming platforms and SoundCloud. His most recent composition White Horses (for me and for you) a song recorded using acoustic guitar and bass was released in early 2022. An album of songs is planned for later in 2022.
Looking to the Future
Currently Julian is working on a number of blues and folk song covers that have inspired his approach to singing and the guitar. The first of these is a cover of Blue Jean Blues by ZZ Top which will be available on Spotify from mid March 2022. This will be followed by covers of Jimmy Reed songs and I Ain't Never first song by Webb Pierce and more recently by Jimmie Vaughan.
